About The Event

Come out and support our Flag Raising in commemoration of Juneteenth/Jubilee Day.

Gov Charlie Baker signed legislation making June 19 an official Massachusetts state holiday, in July 2021.  This was 13 years after Massachusetts' only Black Governor, Gov Deval Patrick, signed the first proclamation commemorating Juneteenth in Massachusetts.  On June 17, 2021, President Biden signed into law Senate Bill 475 (S. 475) making “Juneteenth” a federal holiday.

We will have local speakers, information, and a flag raising commemorating Juneteenth.  Hope to see you there. This event is FREE of charge, and will be held rain or shine.
